The company announced a schedule for their new features and updates. Microsoft Office will now get new features and updates every month during the year. The enterprise is in the fast track program will be seeing these innovative changes really soon.
The list of Office 365 features are currently in development to include these:
OFFICE 365 THEME
A basic update for Office 365 will allow for customized themes for the software. Users now have the ability to upload their own theme and an option to use Bing images as your theme.
SKYPE MEETING BROADCAST
Skype Meeting Broadcast is an application within Skype for Business that allows organizations to host and broadcast meetings for larger audiences. Microsoft Office update 2017 will allow enterprises to automatically share the closed-captioning transcript from a meeting with the audience. It also will allow translations into multiple languages such as English, Spanish, Simplified Chinese, and German.
BITCOIN CURRENCY SUPPORT
Microsoft Office 365’s 2017 update for Excel will allow for Bitcoin currency support. The new feature will allow Excel to recognize, format, calculate, and analyze numbers expressed in Bitcoin currency. The feature will be available for Excel in Windows 10, Android, Mac OS, and iOS. Furthermore, it will include Excel Mobile versions as well.
The Office 365 2017 update will bring a lot of new features for PowerPoint Online. Notably, the feature that will help in education is classroom scale co-authoring in PowerPoint. A whole classroom can work together in real-time on the same deck, according to Microsoft.
OFFICE LENS AND MOBILE SCANNING
Microsoft Office will integrate mobile scanning to the OneDrive for Business app. Using the OneDrive mobile app, you can seamlessly take a photo, and convert it to a PDF. You can then store it in OneDrive for Business. This will come first to Android followed by iOS and Windows Phone.
